Backend Engineer, PHP
Description
Eneba is seeking a Backend Engineer, PHP to work with their modern technology stack in a fast-paced, rock-n-roll environment. The role involves working with a microservices architecture of over 100 services, deploying code through CI/CD with 50+ deployments per day. The technology stack includes PHP/Symfony as the primary coding language, Golang as a secondary language for speed/efficiency requirements, and GraphQL as the main communication method for both service-to-service and frontend-service communication.
The architecture follows CQRS pattern with commands via saga/temporal and queries via GraphQL. The position requires working with service orchestration using Saga/temporal.io, multiple database systems including InfluxDB, Prometheus, Redis, ElasticSearch, MariaDB, and MySQL, and infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, and Terraform. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in dynamic environments where experimentation, learning, and iteration are encouraged.
Requirements
- Ability to express yourself freely in code

- Good Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills

- Base knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and Docker
- Base knowledge of common patterns like CQRS, circuit breaking, and service orchestration
- Ability to effectively contribute to architectural discussions
- Self-learner who takes responsibility for gathering requirements from incomplete specifications
- Prepared to work in a rock-n-roll environment emphasizing trying, learning, and iterating
- Willingness to work with modern technologies including microservices architecture, GraphQL, and temporal workflows
