Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online experience to support a growing property rental management company. This role involves managing financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling transactions, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping processes for multiple property owners and tenants. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Your Role:
Bookkeeper Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online for a property rental management company Identify, review, and correct miscategorized transactions and AI-generated errors within QuickBooks Process billing, invoicing, and payments on behalf of multiple property owners and tenants Maintain and update records in the company’s HOA management software Organize and upload bills, receipts, and financial documents into the company’s Google Workspace environment Communicate proactively with the business owner via phone and messaging to provide updates and flag discrepancies.
Requirements: QuickBooks Online certification or demonstrated advanced proficiency
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in phone-based interactions Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets)High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Scope:
Part-time engagement (approximately 20 hours per week) with flexibility for additional hours during the initial onboarding and cleanup phase Work aligned to U.S. Central Time zone, Monday through Friday Support a portfolio of approximately 124 tenants and 100+ property owners including companies, entities, and trusts Bring QuickBooks records up to date from January onward and establish clean, ongoing bookkeeping processes Potential to expand scope into broader administrative or executive assistant functions as the business grows.
