The role of a Construction Operations Coordinator at BruntWork

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Construction Operations Coordinator to support the development of strong internal systems as the business continues to grow.

This role will initially be part-time, with a clear pathway to transition into a full-time position. As the first dedicated administration hire, this position offers significant long-term growth potential.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Melbourne Time); 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage invoices, quotes, and payment schedules
  • Maintain and organize document management systems (Dropbox)
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track workflows and milestones
  • Manage contractor onboarding, including documentation and agreements
  • Prepare and maintain SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements)
  • Coordinate JSA (Job Safety Analysis) forms and ensure compliance with occupational health & safety requirements
  • Review contractor compliance and ensure appropriate protections are in place
  • Track and manage contractor insurances, including:
    • Public Liability
    • Workers’ Compensation
    • Other relevant trade insurances
  • Support the development and improvement of internal systems, processes, and operational efficiencies

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in administration and/or operations support (mid to senior level)
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Xero, Dropbox, and Asana (highly preferred)
  • Basic understanding of the construction industry and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
