About the Role

We’re hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team and take full ownership of infrastructure and DevOps processes for our Data Platform. Today, data engineers at Eneba are stretched across both data pipeline development and infrastructure maintenance. You’ll step in to streamline, automate, and elevate the backend systems that power our analytics and data-driven products.This is a hands-on and collaborative role where you’ll have the opportunity to reshape core infrastructure, focusing on AWS, CI/CD systems, database ops, and performance monitoring, while directly supporting some of the most critical projects in the company.

About the Team

You’ll be part of the Platform Engineering team, working closely with:

– Data engineers (your closest collaborators and internal customers)

– Backend and frontend engineers building shared services

– DevOps colleagues building EKS clusters, migration pipelines, and automation tools

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices across the Data Platform.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and automated AWS infrastructure (e.g., RDS, S3, networking, IAM).
  • Improve CI/CD workflows and tooling for data engineers and platform developers.
  • Handle infrastructure incidents, database migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to advise on architecture and tooling choices.
  • Lead improvements by gathering feedback, identifying process gaps, and executing fixes across environments.

Must-have Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, or infrastructure-focused roles.
  • Hands-on AWS experience, particularly RDS (migration, replication, performance tuning), S3, IAM, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation, and observability best practices.
  • Collaborative mindset with a drive for ownership and continuous improvement.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Familiarity with Databricks or similar data platforms.
  • Experience working with Delta Lake or S3-based data lakes/warehouses.
  • Experience using GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and/or Kubernetes.
  • Python scripting skills or exposure to automation for data environments.
  • Experience scaling cloud infrastructure in a high-growth environment.

€63,480 – €85,560 a year

Salary ranges may vary. We’re seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space. We’re an international team and our business language of choice is English.
