About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly capable Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst to take ownership of key financial, accounting, administrative, and back-office functions within a growing travel business.
This is not a traditional bookkeeping or data-entry role.
We are looking for someone who combines hands-on accounting experience with strong financial analysis, administrative ownership, and operational understanding. You will be responsible for keeping the financial and operational side of the business accurate, organized, and efficient while providing management with meaningful insights from the data.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the travel industry, understand how bookings, suppliers, customer payments, commissions, and reconciliations work, and ideally have hands-on experience with Tramada.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership. Someone who doesn’t simply process transactions or complete assigned tasks, but who can identify discrepancies, understand what the numbers are telling the business, solve problems, improve processes, and proactively support management.
Position Overview
The Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst will support and take ownership of the day-to-day financial, administrative, and operational functions of the travel business.
The role combines:

The successful candidate will become an important operational partner to the business owner and travel team, helping ensure the business is accurate, organized, financially controlled, and continuously improving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
As the Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst you will take hands-on ownership of the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing and recording financial transactions
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Entering and reconciling invoices
- Reconciling customer payments against bookings
- Monitoring outstanding customer balances
- Reconciling supplier invoices and statements
- Preparing supplier payments for approval
- Tracking outstanding payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Identifying and investigating discrepancies
- Maintaining appropriate financial documentation
- Supporting month-end accounting processes
- Liaising with the external accountant when required
We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting hands-on with the numbers, not someone who only oversees accounting from a distance.
2. Travel Industry Back-Office Operations
As the Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst you will Support and manage the administrative processes that take place after a travel booking is created.
You may be responsible for:
- Reviewing bookings for financial and administrative accuracy
- Ensuring customer payments are correctly recorded
- Monitoring outstanding balances and payment deadlines
- Processing booking amendments and cancellations
- Tracking refunds and credits
- Tracking outstanding supplier payments
- Checking supplier invoices against booking records
- Maintaining accurate booking and client records
- Following up on outstanding travel-related financial matters
- Supporting travel consultants with back-office administration
- Ensuring completed bookings are properly closed and reconciled
A strong understanding of how travel bookings, customer payments, suppliers, commissions, cancellations, and amendments connect to the financial back office will be important.
3. Tramada Administration
Hands-on Tramada experience is strongly preferred.
As the Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst you will use Tramada as an important operational and financial system, including:
- Maintaining accurate booking and client information
- Reviewing booking transactions for accuracy
- Recording and reconciling payments
- Monitoring booking balances
- Reviewing supplier transactions
- Supporting invoicing and financial administration
- Running relevant operational and financial reports
- Identifying discrepancies within booking records
- Assisting with booking reconciliation
- Supporting the travel team with Tramada-related queries
Candidates with generic accounting experience but no understanding of travel systems or travel back-office processes may not be suitable.
4. Supplier & Commission Reconciliation
As the Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst you will commission and supplier reconciliation will be an important part of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Tracking commissions earned from suppliers
- Reconciling commission statements
- Identifying missing or incorrect commission payments
- Following up outstanding commissions
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Matching supplier transactions against bookings
- Investigating discrepancies between booking records and supplier invoices
- Maintaining accurate records of commission income
- Providing management with visibility over outstanding supplier and commission transactions
5. Financial & Business Analysis
This is what makes the role more than traditional accounting.
We need someone who can look beyond the transactions and understand what the numbers mean for the business.
You will:
- Analyse revenue and expense trends
- Monitor profitability
- Review booking and sales performance
- Analyse commission performance
- Analyse outstanding receivables and payables
- Identify unusual financial movements
- Identify financial leakage and inefficiencies
- Prepare financial and operational reports
- Track relevant business KPIs
- Identify trends and opportunities
- Provide practical recommendations to management
6. Management Reporting
As the Accounting, Finance & Administrative Analyst you will prepare clear, accurate, and useful reports for the business owner and management team.
Reports may include:
- Revenue analysis
- Expense analysis
- Accounts receivable ageing
- Accounts payable ageing
- Outstanding customer balances
- Supplier balances
- Commission reports
- Booking performance
- Sales trends
- Monthly financial summaries
- Operational KPIs
- Other management reports as required
The successful candidate should be comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and financial data and presenting information in a way that is easy for management to understand and act upon.
7. Administrative & Operational Support
Provide proactive administrative support across the business.
Responsibilities may include:
- Maintaining organized records
- Preparing reports and spreadsheets
- Managing recurring administrative tasks
- Following up on outstanding actions
- Coordinating information between suppliers, consultants, and management
- Maintaining databases
- Supporting documentation requirements
- Assisting with general operational administration
- Taking ownership of recurring back-office processes
- Helping management maintain visibility across outstanding tasks and financial matters
8. Process Improvement
- Review existing accounting and back-office processes
- Identify unnecessary manual work
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies
- Recommend improvements to financial workflows
- Improve reconciliation processes
- Improve reporting and financial visibility
- Establish more efficient administrative procedures
- Standardize recurring processes
- Create spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting tools where appropriate
- Introduce greater structure and accountability
The objective is not simply to maintain the existing processes, but to help make the business tighter, more efficient, and better organized.
9. Digital Marketing — Additional Advantage
Digital marketing experience is a plus, but it is not the primary focus of this position.
Candidates with additional experience in areas such as:
- Social media
- Email marketing
- Marketing databases
- Digital campaigns
- Website content
- Campaign reporting
- Facebook and Instagram
may have opportunities to support these activities as the role develops.
Experience in travel, tourism, luxury travel, cruises, or premium experiences would be particularly valuable.
10. Commercial & Strategic Support
The business is interested in identifying opportunities for growth and improving its commercial performance.
The successful candidate may support management with:
- Market and travel trend research
- Competitor analysis
- Identifying commercial opportunities

- Supporting promotional initiatives
- Analysing campaign or sales performance

We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with analytical thinking and administrative ownership.
Strong Accounting Foundation
You have hands-on experience with accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, reconciliations, invoices, payments, and financial records.
Financially Analytical
You can interpret financial information, identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and explain what the numbers mean.
Travel Industry Experience
You understand the relationship between bookings, customers, suppliers, payments, commissions, refunds, and financial reconciliation.
Tramada Experience
You have practical experience using Tramada or a comparable travel management system.

Requirements
Essential
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance administration, or a related role
- Previous travel industry experience
- Practical experience using Tramada
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong financial reconciliation experience
- Experience with supplier and commission reconciliation
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Experience preparing reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong problem-solving and follow-through
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
