The role of a Cold Calling & Lead Generation Virtual Assistant at 20four7VA
20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
The objective of each engagement is to look for a confident and results-driven Cold Calling & Lead Generation Virtual Assistant to support the Sales and Business Development team.
In this role, you will make outbound cold calls to targeted B2B companies, introduce our services, ask qualifying questions, and identify potential capital equipment or project opportunities. Your primary responsibility is to generate qualified leads and warm handoffs for our internal sales team.
This position is ideal for a VA who is comfortable on the phone, professional with U.S.-based prospects, and experienced in outbound B2B calling.
Scope of Services
Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:
- Outbound Calling & Lead Qualification
Make outbound cold calls to provided lists of companies and contacts
Introduce the company and explain offerings at a high level
Handle gatekeepers and front-desk routing effectively
Ask basic qualifying questions to assess needs, timelines, and decision-makers
Identify potential capital equipment or project opportunities
- Data Capture & CRM Management
Collect and verify accurate contact details (name, title, email, phone)
Log all calls, notes, and outcomes accurately in the CRM or tracking sheet
Maintain organized and up-to-date lead records
- Follow-Up & Sales Handoffs
Schedule follow-up calls when appropriate
Pass qualified and interested prospects to the internal sales team
Provide clear notes and context for smooth handoffs
- Objection Handling & Script Adherence
Handle basic objections professionally (not interested, busy, existing supplier)
Follow provided call scripts and messaging guidelines
Provide feedback to improve scripts based on real-world conversations
- Reporting
Submit weekly summary reports including:
Number of calls made
Number of live conversations
Number of qualified leads generated
Common objections or feedback
Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.
Expected Deliverables
- Consistent daily outbound calling activity
- Accurate call logs and CRM notes
- Qualified leads with clear project details (need, timeline, decision-maker)
- Warm introductions or handoffs to sales
- Weekly performance and feedback reports
Required Qualifications
The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:
- Experience & Skills
1–2 years of experience in B2B cold calling, telemarketing, or outbound lead generation
Proven experience qualifying leads or setting appointments (not closing sales)
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to follow scripts while sounding natural and professional
Comfortable handling objections and rejection
Organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with data entry
Able to work independently and meet activity targets
- Industry Knowledge (Preferred, Not Required)
Experience in capital equipment, industrial, manufacturing, or B2B sales environments
Willingness to learn technical products and industry terminology

Work Schedule
- Contracted Hours per Week: 40 Hours
- Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday
- Daily Working Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (flexible)
Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.
Terms of Engagement
- Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
- This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
- All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
