The role of a Legal Administrative – Social Media Specialist at BruntWork
Our client is looking for an Legal Administrative – Social Media Specialist to serve as the operational backbone and digital voice of a thriving criminal defense practice. This hybrid role combines essential case management support with strategic social media execution. You will keep cases moving forward by managing client follow-ups, coordinating document collection for mental health diversion matters, handling court filings through the firm’s case management system, and running collections when needed. At the same time, you will build and execute the firm’s social media strategy to attract new clients and establish thought leadership in the criminal defense space. This is a high-impact role where your organizational skills and creative marketing abilities directly contribute to client outcomes and firm growth.
Client Overview
Our client is a growing criminal defense law firm based in California specializing in mental health diversion cases. The firm handles complex defense matters and works directly with clients navigating the criminal justice system. They are expanding their remote team to support increased caseload and digital presence.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Manage client follow-ups and task coordination for mental health diversion cases to ensure timely document collection and case progress
- Handle court filings and maintain accurate case documentation in Clio case management system
- Process payment plans and run credit card collections through Clio as needed
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media marketing strategy across platforms to generate client leads
- Create engaging content using Canva and CapCut, including video content that showcases firm expertise
- Schedule and publish social media posts consistently to maintain active online presence
- Manage community engagement by responding to messages and inquiries, escalating warm leads for case evaluation
- Conduct weekly analytics reviews to assess performance, identify what is working, and pivot strategy accordingly
- Research competitor social media activity and implement successful promotional tactics
- Maintain organized calendar management for administrative tasks and deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience in administrative support with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated social media marketing experience with portfolio showing content creation and campaign results
- Proficiency in Clio case management software for document management, billing, and client communication
- Strong content creation skills using Canva and CapCut, including video editing capabilities
- Experience with social media strategy, scheduling, analytics, and community management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across administrative tasks and creative projects
- Comfortable handling payment processing and professional collections conversations
- University education or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience working with law firms or legal service providers (Nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with the criminal defense or mental health legal space (Nice-to-have)
- Experience with paid social media advertising campaigns (Nice-to-have)
- Prior experience working remotely for US-based companies and familiarity with American business communication norms (Nice-to-have)
