The role of a Local SEO Account Manager at Veta Virtual
As a Local SEO Account Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of U.S.-based home service clients. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing their local search performance, building and executing customized strategies, and driving measurable improvements in rankings, traffic, and lead generation.
This is not a hand-off role — you will own the full cycle: strategy, execution, and client communication. You will:
📊 Client Management & Strategy
- Manage a portfolio of 8–10+ client accounts
- Serve as the main point of contact for business owners
- Lead onboarding calls, monthly check-ins, and strategy reviews
- Audit local search presence and build tailored SEO strategies
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for clients
- Proactively identify growth opportunities and performance gaps
🔍 Local SEO Execution
- Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles
- Implement on-site SEO improvements (primarily on WordPress websites)
- Build and maintain local citations and directory listings
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and lead metrics using tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, and Google Search Console
- Continuously refine strategies based on performance data
🤝 Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate confidently with U.S.-based clients on a regular basis
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., web design) on technical updates
- Stay up to date with Google algorithm changes and local SEO trends
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
✅ What You’ll Need:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on local SEO experience
- Strong expertise in Google Business Profile optimization
- Solid understanding of on-site SEO for local businesses
- Experience working with WordPress
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts in an agency setting
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (client-facing)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working full-time (~45 hours/week)
- Availability to work U.S. Eastern Time hours (starting ~7:30 AM ET)
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup
🌟 Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in the home services or trades industry (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, etc.)
- Familiarity with tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, GA4, and Google Search Console
- Experience with Google Local Services Ads (LSAs)
