The role of a Marketplace Growth & Digital Marketing Specialist at BruntWork
Our client is looking for a Marketplace Growth & Digital Marketing Specialist to take full-funnel marketing ownership—from lead generation through to user acquisition. In this role, you will drive lead generation, scale social media channels, and execute digital marketing strategies to build brand awareness. You will collaborate directly with the founders to align marketing efforts with the brand vision and contribute to building the initial platform inventory ahead of their autumn launch.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Flexible time during client’s business hours, New Zealand Time Zone (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Drive lead generation efforts to attract both listers and renters to the platform through targeted outreach
- Manage and grow social media presence across key platforms including TikTok and Meta to build brand awareness
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that maximize impact within a limited startup budget
- Identify and engage potential users such as secondhand clothing sellers and fashion-conscious consumers
- Monitor and optimize SEO performance and Google Analytics to ensure marketing effectiveness
- Create compelling content that communicates the value of peer-to-peer clothing rental and circular fashion
- Collaborate directly with the founders to align marketing efforts with brand vision and launch timeline
- Contribute to building initial platform inventory ahead of the launch
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and lead generation, preferably for a marketplace or startup
- Proficiency with SEO, Google Analytics, and Meta advertising platforms
- Experience creating and managing content on TikTok
- Strong understanding of social media engagement strategies and conversion funnels
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
