Product Marketing Manager
Job Description
Canonical is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for the EMEA region to join their mission of building the best Go-To-Market engine in the open source world. As the leading provider of Ubuntu, one of the most important open source projects and platform for AI, IoT and cloud, Canonical serves the world’s leading public cloud and silicon providers across multiple sectors. This hands-on, multi-disciplinary, dynamic position requires close collaboration with Product, engineering, content, Sales, and other Marketing teams.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing go-to-market strategies for a range of products, leading messaging and positioning efforts to make products stand out in competitive markets, leading content planning with product managers from website copy to whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials, collaborating on marketing campaigns with regional marketing teams to drive pipeline growth, launching new products and features while leading cross-functional teams, running competitive analysis and staying ahead of market trends, supporting customer success team on driving engagement and growth through upsell and cross-sell strategies, and planning and executing global events, live webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities.
Requirements
- Passion for technology and open source with excitement about innovation, software, and community-driven development
- Strong storytelling skills with ability to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences
- Growth mindset thriving on experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ownership mindset for GTM campaigns with preference for collaborative, learning-focused environments
- Love for solving problems, getting hands-on, experimenting, measuring, and using automation
- Nice-to-have: Data-driven mindset using insights to refine strategies, experience in product marketing for enterprise software/cloud/DevOps/open-source solutions, experience with demand generation translating GTM strategies into pipeline growth, comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams
