The role of a Quality Analyst at Mercor
About the Role
We’re hiring Quality Analysts on a contract basis to help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data. You’ll play a key role in reviewing outputs, flagging issues, and helping us maintain a high bar for quality across projects.
What You’ll Do
- Review work product against defined quality standards, rubrics, and guidelines
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps, and document them clearly
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to contributors and stakeholders
- Track quality metrics and surface recurring issues or trends
- Help refine and improve quality processes, checklists, and evaluation criteria
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team across time zones
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar review-focused role
- Strong attention to detail and a sharp eye for errors others miss
- Excellent written communication and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving standards in a fast-moving environment
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, focused workspace
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with data annotation, content review, or evaluation workflows
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
- Background in a domain relevant to our work (e.g., technical, editorial, or analytical)

Contract and Payment Terms
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
- Please note: We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
