The role of a Social Media Marketing Specialist at BruntWork
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Assistant to support our growing multi-business portfolio. In this role, you will work directly underneath our Marketing Lead, Jennie, providing essential administrative support, daily organizational management, and asset creation. This position combines hands-on assistant work with routine marketing tasks, requiring someone who values quick communication, thrives on structure, and is ready to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
- Executive & Administrative Support: Provide daily administrative and project support underneath Jennie; assist with calendar management, task tracking, and maintaining organized digital files.
- Daily Organization: Keep marketing projects on schedule, track deliverables, and ensure clear communication flows smoothly across the team via phone and WhatsApp.
- Creative Design: Create simple graphics for promotional campaigns, giveaways, and social media posts using Canva; format professional presentations and basic marketing templates.
- Content Management: Assist Jennie with maintaining content calendars and executing scheduled posts across multiple business accounts.
- Engagement & Routine Operations: Handle community engagement (responding to simple DMs, comments, and inquiries) and help monitor automated response systems.
- Production & Partnership Logistics: Assist with organizing logistics for photoshoots (such as managing shot lists) and tracking influencer outreach efforts.
Requirements
- Proven Assistant Experience: Strong background in administrative or virtual assistant work with a knack for keeping schedules and teams organized.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional time management skills and the ability to juggle routine tasks across multiple brands without letting details slip.
- Basic Graphic Design: Proficiency in Canva and PowerPoint with a portfolio demonstrating clean, simple, and effective visual designs.
- Communication Skills: Strong written communication for daily correspondence, caption writing, and team collaboration.
- Reliability: High responsiveness and readiness to handle urgent, same-day support tasks under Jennie’s direction.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with standard social media scheduling platforms (Preferred).
- Experience using task management tools (Asana, Trello, ClickUp, etc.) to maintain organization (Preferred).
- Prior experience supporting a marketing manager or creative team (Preferred).
