The role of a Strategic Business Research Analyst at BruntWork
Our client is looking for a strategic right hand to an education innovator who’s building the future of academic and business ventures. This isn’t your typical administrative role – you’ll dive deep into research that shapes business decisions, craft communications that open doors to new partnerships, and synthesize complex information into actionable insights. You’ll work directly with the business owner, contributing to initiatives that span from academic institutions to commercial partnerships, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work with clear boundaries and expectations.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Australian Eastern Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research across academic fields and business sectors to identify opportunities and trends
- Research and identify potential institutional partners and business collaborators for venture expansion
- Draft professional emails and correspondence for executive review and approval
- Create detailed, summarized reports from research findings that inform strategic decisions
- Support multiple education business ventures with targeted research and communication needs
- Manage email workflow and correspondence systems to ensure timely, professional communication
- Synthesize complex academic and business information into clear, actionable insights
- Coordinate research projects across different business streams and educational initiatives
Requirements
- Professional written English communication skills for professional business correspondence
- Strong research and analytical capabilities with ability to work across academic and business domains
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience with email drafting, business communication, and professional correspondence
- Attention to detail for research summarization and report creation
- Bonus if you have familiarity with the education sector or academic research
- It helps if you have experience supporting executives or entrepreneurs in multi-venture environments
